Workshop Information

Are you interested in helping others using your Equine Specialist Certification? 

Faith ETC is hosting a three day workshop providing specialized training for equestrians interested in equine facilitated mental health and education programs.

The training is designed for:

  • Equine Professionals
  • Therapeutic Riding Instructors
  • Individuals looking to enhance their ability to work with mental health and education professionals and their clients

This event is NOT designed to train educators or mental health professionals how to perform their role in equine facilitated learning or psychotherapy.

Some of the most experienced people in the field of equine facilitated mental health and learning will be leading this workshop.  Participants receive a chance to see what is current in the field. Each course will be taught by a team including an Equine Specialist/PATH Intl. Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor with collaboration of a mental health professional, while working with several equines. Instructors for the workshop are Equine Specialist Professional, Memree Stuart, and Mental Health Professional, Marilyn Sokolof.

Date & Location

Workshop Date: October 26-28, 2017

Skills Test Date: October 29, 2017

Candidate Registration Deadline: September 30th

Location: Faith Equestrian Therapeutic Center, Guyton GA

Lodging Options:

You may choose to stay at a local hotel if you wish, most of which are between 20 and 25 minutes away. Your other option is to stay at the New Ebenezer Retreat Center, which is right around 15 minutes away from the center. Ebenezer is partnering with us to provide lodging for you at a great rate. Dinner is included with your stay. If you need to stay through Sunday evening it will be an additional $60.

Equestrian skills on the ground comparable to those described in Pony Club C or CHA Level 1 familiarity with PATH Intl. Standards and PATH Intl. Code of Ethics and/or a PATH Intl. Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor.

Be at least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or GED with a demonstration of continued learning
